Wood Power Rack
Hey guys im sick of going to x-sport and would love to train in my garage. Ive googled power rack plans but decided to post here 1st to see if any Powerlifter has built his own rack? Looking for some diagrams/plans/dimensions. I need some plans to build a power cage, theres one in beyond brawn but ive lent the book to my mate who has just gone to norway. Does anyone have any experience with this rack or something similar. I am currently designing a project to build a power cage/rack. I would choose the safty pin size wisely, if you make them to big it may mess with your hole spacing, i would look at a few designs that are in wood to get your basic measurements and to get an idea of how to build it i made one out of wood and it serves its purpose but plans to make another are on my mind this time in steel. my gym is in my basement so a fully welded unit is out of the question but i plan on building the left side and right side and their base alltogether like elite makes theirs, all that would be needed to tie them together would be a bottom and top rear cross brace and a front top pull up/chin up set up for that part of the bracing.
