In short, if they suspect your YouView box has been hacked to copy protected content, they can then remotely, then they can cut you off from anything except YouView and unencrypted video. I received my TalkTalk TV (Huawei DN370T) YouView box last week. I assume nobody out there knows a hack to get at the hard drive? I have a BT broadband and that came with a Humax youview freeview bax. The previous product in the Humax range, the HDR-FOX-T2, only came with ftp and dlna content sharing supported ‘out of the box’.
I seen various comments that some think that the Youview box is well over priced for what it dose. Unless you hack the firmware, that is the only service from the broadcasters you can get. How does this fare against say a hacked Apple TV 2 or Revo with XBMC in terms of content? Reply. In other words no external cable box ( hotel/motel rooms usually implement this). The more that people expose this hack, the sooner it will somehow be blocked by management.
Hello right im tryin to hack a free view box to get the extra tv channel’s you have to pay for i was talknig to some one and well they say it is. YouView boxes are ace but you need a fast web connection. Great bit of kit and you can hack the firmware if you are so inclined to give remote record and other nice features. BT Sport is now available on YouView boxes not bought directly from BT. I really am hacked off by the run around from BT call centre staff who have been polite but being told repeatedly that we can’t have what is being advertised and having to be on the phone for nearly 5 hourse really is taking it to new lows, what can’t I just ad it to my package through my account and a tick box that says, no thanks I have my own box.
Negatives About Youview Box
It’s no secret that your TV, satellite DVR and cable box are network enabled. What you need is a DVR with some custom firmware that can be hacked. Now my Brother has BTvision black box, with a working BTvision account and his box will boot WITHOUT a bt BB connection. The vision tech did say off the record that eventually all the black BTvision boxes would be unlocked as they are going to be un workable when they start streaming everything over fiber, and totally moving over to youview. Hacks for youview box – We Shall be self questioningly would he approve. Was a trivial datcha. Ecard baby gender reveal. You can get it to work on Linux, but you have to hack about a bit. We got given a YouView box – we didn’t get it through a BT subscription or anything so we currently just use it as a Freeview box that also streams a few catch-up TV services. Another option is get one of BTs excellent (IMO) youview boxes 2nd hand. There’s a simple hack to install plex on to it which open up loads of possibilities but I’m not bothered for that. Hahahahaha this hacking is taking shape tv coin meters look tell yer mate tvs are cheap now no point in renting a tv my brother had a rent tv like this and i found the hack we cut the full box off the tv and fitted a new lead job done what a hack hahahaha i was suprized the hack only needed a 3 foot lenth of wire and a three pin plug way to go man lol. The BT Youview box is a rebadged Humax and is very good, I’ve had no major issues with mine. (although you can hack it slightly), so there’s no easy way watch a TV program if you download it without having more devices to serve it to the box on your home network.
